Though he left out the mistake which drives me the bat-shit-craziest: the use of apostrophes in plural's (like that - see how annoying it is?)
Posters at the BBC Have Your Say forums do that all the bloody time. In fact, the forums are riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. With the result that, however cogent such a poster's point may be, I cannot take them seriously.
Why yes, I'm a grouchy old broad, and this is my regularly-scheduled daily rant... *g*
But, like Willow's Tara, I find the low standard of the 'written' word online very depressing. And I really HATE what that standard says about the state of education in this country.
But hey - it's Friday, and I'm off for a curry and lotsa wine with a pal tonight, so what the fuck, people, apostrophize wrongly to your heart's content for the rest of the evening...*g*
